Winter’s Coming…

Did a quick test for prototyping seasonal changes. Currently the plan is to have a small portion near the start of the game have dynamic seasonal changes. I was hoping to have multiple seasons throughout the whole game but this portion would change on the fly. As I don’t have it functioning yet I’m not sure if this will be extended to the rest of the world yet or not. For the moment I used the current spring/summer tree model I have, with a quickly made fall version, and an ugly snow version. Not the greatest but for the moment this will give me a target to get working in the first level.

Got a ton of feedback from some recent play tests with friends. Changed the jump on mobile to be activated by a 2nd touch anywhere on the screen when the user is running. Previously you had to tap the top half of the screen. I think I failed to fully explain the games current prototype stage so I have a lot to do on educating users to the control scheme. Currently without a formal tutorial this can be difficult, but I would prefer not to make one until the control schemes and mechanics for all platforms are finalized. I’m still not sure if I’m going to include a sprint button or flying creatures yet. We will see.

And… since its been awhile since the last update, here’s a vertical panorama I forgot to post, Enjoy!
